How we think about trust

SMSX shows public information that many people rely on, so we try to be direct about how the service works, what it does with data, and where its limits are. This hub links the policies and practices that make up that commitment in one place. Nothing here is marketing language — each linked page is a real, maintained document you can read in full.

Privacy and data handling

We aim to collect as little as possible and to be clear about what we do collect. Our Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you visit, how cookies and similar technologies are used, and the choices available to you. Our Cookie Policy covers those technologies specifically.

Safety and reporting

Because the directory is public, safety depends on fast, honest reporting. The Safety & Reporting Center explains how to recognise abuse and stay safe, Report an Issue is the direct channel for problems, and Content Removal Requests is the formal process for taking down a specific number or message that exposes personal information.

Rules of the road

Clear rules keep a shared service usable for everyone. Our Acceptable Use Policy defines what is and is not allowed, and the Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between you and SMSX. The Disclaimer is honest about what the service does not guarantee.

Content, copyright, and advertising

We hold our own writing to a documented standard in our Editorial & Content Standards, handle rights complaints through our DMCA & Copyright Policy, and are transparent about how the site is funded in our Advertising Disclosure.

Accountability and accessibility

Transparency also means being reachable and usable. Our Accessibility Statement describes our commitment to inclusive design, our Security page explains the safety model around public numbers, and Contact & Support is always open for questions, corrections, and concerns.

What trust does not mean here

Being transparent is not the same as promising perfection. SMSX offers shared, public numbers with no guarantee of delivery, uptime, or accuracy, and the content that arrives on those numbers comes from third parties. We tell you that plainly so you can make informed decisions rather than relying on assurances we cannot honestly give.
